Armenian Film Festival London

Established in 2024 by curator Kira Adibekov and filmmaker Tatevik Ayvazyan, Armenian Film Festival London runs London's Armenian Film Festival and the regular Jukebox Film Club at the Institute of Contemporary Arts and other venues. We work closely with our partners, Armenian Film Society in LA, a nonprofit organization founded in 2015 by Armen and Mary Karaoghlanian to champion Armenian cinema and connect filmmakers with audiences.
Armenian Film Festival London is an established cultural event that celebrates the creativity of Armenian cinema and culture. Our first two editions of the festival and screenings have welcomed thousands of people in to the world of cinema. We screen the newest Armenian films by directors both from Diaspora and Republic of Armenia, unseen gems, standout classics, rare experimental pieces and restorations by the giants of the Armenian cinema such as Parajanov and Egoyan.
The festival has quickly become an important community gathering, reviewed in various media outlets, including The Guardian.
2026 edition of the festival will take place at the Institute of Contemporary Arts over 4 days, 3-6 December.

AFFL 2024
The Armenian Film Festival London 2024 was the first London-based annual festival celebrating Armenian culture and creative potential. It aims to showcase the best emerging and classic filmmaking from the Republic of Armenia and the Diaspora.
The programme followed two main thematic strands: war in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and the centenary of the joint national cinema and Sergei Parajanov while promoting new talent, with special emphasis on the British Armenian creative community.

AFFL 2025
Following the success of its inaugural edition in 2024, the Armenian Film Festival London returned to ICA for its second edition.
Running across four days, this year’s festival presented an expanded programme, offering a compelling insight into Armenia’s vast cinematic landscape, featuring staples of Armenian/Diasporic culture such as Charles Aznavour and Atom Egoyan alongside Tamara Stepanyan’s breakthrough and daring British Armenian creatives — visual artists, dancers, musicians and filmmakers.
